Since the purchase of our appartment on Hacienda Riquelme is coming to completion, we need to get ourselves informed about home insurance..is there a compare site , like Si Compare for energy, for home insurances ?
Does anyone have good experience with a reliable home insurance company ? Is there an insurance you would recommend?

Hallo Yvonne en Max,
wij hebben deze woning verzekering zelf bij Caser afgesloten, tot nu toe prima ervaring mee. Onze Spaanse wagen ook bij Caser, maar dit hebben we via orangeinsurances.com (Barbara de Zwaan, NL verz.bedrijf in Barcalona)) geregeld.
Wellicht kan je er iets mee.

Hi,
Linea Directa ( Direct Line) and Liberty Seguros seem to be favourites have used both. They have English speaking operatives an paperwork is in English.
Through your community fees you pay for some insurance for buildings,but from experience there it is better to be over insured so consider taking both!
My last contents only insurance with LD for 25,000 euros of belongings ( I was long-term renting) was 82 euros.

Hi. You get insurance cover included with your community's fees. You should ask your lawyer to confirm exactly what's covered. As the apartments are all freehold they must have good buildings insurance so that's why it's included.
