Good morning - from our experience so far any building work requires planning permission from your

local council and final signing off by your builder that all work meets the fully the original plans.

You often need to employ an architect to draw up your plans and submit both the plans and what they call the

technical submission as well and ideally take it through the planning phases to approval

Do not forget to have your lawyers add any additional areas or extensions etc to you property deeds or you will not

be able to sell the property at any later date.

If unsure go and talk to your local planning department we have found them in San Javier to be helpful honest and advisory

It all is essential to avoid later legal problems costs and ultimately the council and police arriving with a JCB to knock what you have built down!!

Good afternoon - when I spoke with the local Planning Officer he  stated that there were some changes due regarding retrospective planning permission in terms of the time and type of development/property change.

So it might be worth asking what they would accept now and how do you go about applying
