Try Doyouspain,they are a decent broker. You can get your car hire XS put onto your travel insurance, mine costs £20 pa on top of my annual trip insurance and coves me for the whole vehicle  XS less the insurance excess usually £100 or something. This eay the price you see quoted is ehat you pay. Yes you do need a credit card but on the one claim I've had (Interent) the ons company paid out very quickly with zero fuss. Also steer clear of Golcar.
