Hi All

My wife and I are looking to retire to spain and are interested in the Mar Manor area but have yet to visit there and would welcome any advice on locations perhaps if I give a bit of what our preferences are it would make things clearer

budget tbc but approx 80k euros prefer a house  semi /townhouse/villa/quad  not hilly or remote set back from the coast ( 20 -30 mins ) ok with amenities( supermarket bars restaurants chemist etc) we like a local bar close by for a nightcap and with good bus links to a larger town or/and beach a pool would be a bonus but not a must but outside spac  is

our thoughts are if we can find anything meeting our preferences we would visit and spend some time there and see if its for us Therefore any advice and local knowledge  would be invaluable

Thank You in anticipation

Why not try Balsicas, 15 mins to the Mar Menor, 4 banks, butchers, farmacie, several good bars, post office, Dr's, railway station everything you need for day to day living and great public transport, your budget could be a bit tight though but not impossible, good luck

Have a look around santiago de la ribera. A year ago we bought a duplux house with front and back terrace. Two bedrooms and two bathrooms, for well under 80k. Only 10 minute walk to the beach. Around 15 minute walk to the shopping mall. The whole area is very flat and great for cycling. I do more cycling than walking. It is quiet in the winter months, but still plenty of shops, bars and restaurants open. Have a look on kyero website. We found our house on there. Good luck!

Hi Douglas, we have recently moved to Los Nietos and love it here. We are very close to the beach and have lovely country walks for our dogs. There is a small train that goes to Cartagena regularly. No need to take the car. The people are very friendly. Hope you find what you are looking for.
