I use Xerxes and they are English speaking and are very competent....Karin is the front of house operative.

Tel. +34 968 006 087 / 868 283 993

Avda. Río Segura, 3 Bajo – Puerto Mazarrón (Murcia -España)

They are down the bottom of the main street right near the front.

We have used Xerxes since 2017, they give a great service! The Spanish owner went to Uni in Newcastle!

Replying in July so may be a bit late...I've been a property owner in the port since 1989...Puerto De Mazarron is very Spanish and very cyclical...Boom bust in a 10 year cycle...as a place it's great if you like a basic Spanish lifestyle...if you like glitz and glamour definitely not the place for you. Be very careful where you buy and do your homework...not the best idea to buy in a remote location especially if you only intend to us for holidays...Our complex is currently blighted by squatters...squatters are protected by Spanish legislation and are very difficult to get removed...also consider the way we are being viewed since Brexit...the world is a much different place since I decided to invest in Spain...my advise to anyone who would like to buy into Spainish culture including it's rules and regulations...rent for a couple of years and don't buy until your absolutely certain its a good idea...Me? I'd never buy a foreign property again...I'd always rent...to finish I love Spain and Puerto de Mazarron is as good as anywhere. Good Luck with your search.

A good post. We bought an apartment in Puerto de Mazarron in 2002, used it mainly November to March each year. A nice combination of Spanish, Belgian, Dutch and Brits. Early 2000 Spain was cheap, a weekly shop would cost 25 euros now nearer 100 euros. We sold the apartment in 2010, whilst we considered our options. We finally sold our home in France and moved to Spain. We bought in a small rural, Spanish community about 20 mins drive from the port. We hose inland because you get more property for your money and we love gardening.since then we have bought a small apartment in the Port, best of both worlds.
we have noticed the cost of living has risen dramatically here in Spain, no longer a cheap country. People are quick to say “yes but think of council tax in Britain against Spanish rates”, we always reply “think of the taxes in Spain that Britain hasn’t even heard of”. There are a lot of hidden taxes. Also, depending on your age, remember bus services are practically non existent and one day you may be without a car. Your local hospitals are in Cartagena, travel round and assess distances, this way you will start to polarise the areas most suitable for you. Good Luck with your search.
