I've done a search on here to see if the question has been asked before but nothing came up, so I'd be pleased to hear from anyone who is non-resident and has gone through this process within say, the last year following the sale of property in Spain.
Did you manage to claim back any of the 3% retention for capital gains tax, and if so, how long did it take? Did you employ anyone, or did you manage to do it yourself?
Please only reply if you've actually done it. Speculation and opinions is not what I'm after.
