Hi, does anyone know what happens when the community is bankrupt. I have a studio I use for holiday. It seems the administrators have said we are bankrupt. The electric and water needs to be paid. We do not have separate meters for water or electricity. I believe each floor has a metre. We pay the electric and water and community charge every month. However, some people do not pay. It looks like the energy company can cut the electricity to the whole building if bill not paid. We have asked to see income and expenditure of community funds. However, that will not change the fact that the community is bankrupt. Anyone know what might happen.

I would suggest that you contact Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB) Spain via facebook as they should be able to provide expert advice...

I would be asking the administrators what the process is and what it likely to happen. I'd also be asking them how they have allowed it to get to that stage? Have they chased non payers and taken them to court? Community Bankruptcy doesn't happen over night and they must have seen this coming.

Thank you, we are all doing this now.
