Hi I am after some advice around taxing our Car.We purchased a car from a garage down Torreivica we picked it up on 01/04/2022 which garage taxed it..When the garage arranged our insurance the quote we were originally given went up as we classed as Murcia region not Alicante ?? with our Holiday home been in Sucina.My question is how do I know when our Car Tax will be due as only at property around 3-4 times a year in case they send letter as reminder to Holiday home, can and how do we set up DDR or pay it Ourselves online. Thanks

firstly Sucina is in Murcia region so that was correct. You dont normally get reminders…set up a direct debit with the town hall next time youre over. Always due in January but never taken from the bank or deadline to pay around June each year

unfortunately not all town halls are part of this system…Sucina isnt on the list..,,some of the information is quite useful though

I'm I right in thinking there is a town hall in main street of Sucina if not where would town hall be would we have to go to Murcia.We will be coming over in October do we take all the documentation we gave for car also our bank details which is Wise. Thanks for your help.

Hi, we were in the same boat last year & missed the car tax bill so payment was overdue. We’re in Mar de Cristal & tried to pay at Los Alcazares town hall but they sent us to Cartagena OAGRC office to pay there. It was quick and easy, we paid a 5% fine for late payment bringing the bill to about €66 for the year and we set up a direct debit ready for next year. As stated, all car tax due in January but bills don get sent out til March April or even May, the money then gets taken after about June. If when you get your bill you are not overdue, you can pay it at most cash points, just scan the barcode at the bottom of the bill.

Hi thank you for all your information can you advise where in Cartagena the office is I have tried searching on google but it's not coming up.Or if I am over and get the bill I will try to pay it at at ATM machine.

As you walk into Cartagena the road is just pass the museum entrance about 100 yards or so on the right hand corner, it’s like a crossroad where the streets meet if that makes sense! It’s open until 1.30 daily I think. It is on google map, I’ve just tried to use the map on here so hopefully you can see it!
