Hi Rob

Be worth contacting the estate agents within Camposol with your preferred sectors. We bought from Luz Del Sol on D, I know they have properties on website- they inform on website which sector the property is in. Good luck in your new venture.

I've been contemplating moving to southern Spain or eastern Algarve but the colder winters worry me.    Is any one familiar with the Portuguese island of Madeira?   Property prices are lower and the requirement to purchase a 500,000 euros property in the Schengen areas is reduced to 350,000 euros which is attractive plus the offer of 10 years free of all taxes.

Any information on Madeira or on where to live in the sun all year round is welcomed.   {Don't mention Australia by the way!]

Lyn

Hi

This is not what I opened this question for but I will answer with my personal experience

If your looking for year round sun

Tenerife is where I acquired for year round sun property there is more expensive I call it sun tax but depending what your looking for you can pick up a villa for 250 k if your looking for tourist led areas las americas and los Christianos any where else for the quieter life I bought in costa del silencio to be near airport as I don’t drive my circumstances changed so that’s why I now am looking at mainland Spain

My only experience of Madeira was on a cruise tourist orientated but expensive

It’s your choice canaries have other islands but Tenerife you can get flights every day

Private message me if you value my opinion I will try to answer as well as I can owned there since 2006

Thank you Rob ... the problem I have with the Canaries is the black soil and arid landscapes ... and I've heard food is expensive too.   It seems a high price to pay for year round sun.

How does one organise permanent residency on the Canaries?   Is it the same as Spain?

Thanks

Lyn

Thanks about information about camposol

Have been looking and found a nice detached villa but it was on C which is quite a distance from A & B so I am led to believe also is there a Comunidad on camposol as I have had bad experience with this inTenerife I won’t be a cash cow to corrupt Comunidad (Back pocket Brigade)...

...

Do all the research you can regarding Camposol and the agents who specialize in the urbanisation. Lots of historical facts available, not just opinion. Same process anywhere really, but Camposol has a history! My advice is to tour the Costa Calida at leisure, renting for while at various times of the year, and don't buy on price alone. Getting it wrong can be very costly.

Hi Rob.

I was supposed to be going to Sucina on 4th May but been postponed due to Virus. 😥 am renting to start with for 12 months then can move about if I want. Got a lovely 2 bed penthouse appt on Hacienda Requelme golf resort and only €400 a month!! And fully furnished.

Why dont you rent to begin with and test Sucina out like I am?

Good luck Rob.x

Hi thank you for your input

I have look at properties for sale in camposol

All that i can find are sector c & d can’t find any a or b

If you know of any could you pass them on to me if possible

Thanks  again

Rob

If you look at mercers website spanishproperty.co.uk.

The  reference code for each place is the property type/sector/number, e.g. FA70 will show a Fiesta style on sector A. To get anything on A or B suspect you will need to start looking in to 100-150€ range to start seeing anything larger, always exceptions with a little luck 😎
