Hi. I am purchasing a property. I know I need to give power of Attorney to spanish solicitor. However there are more than 10 names on my solicitors contract. Can any one advise?

You may need to clarify: are the 10 names all the solicitors in the practice? Or are they the 10 people with a share in the property you are buying (the more likely)?

When we bought back in 2000 there were lots of names as vendors, each having so many 17ths. Not unusual with a family inheritance. It was a good crowd in the notaries office!

...

Yes. Its 10 or more names of the solicitors. There is no other party as it's a bank repossession and no one has lived in it.

Ask them who specifically will be your nominated solicitor and that should be the one.

You should also check that you are limiting the POA to what is required - there is a risk in giving a POA that is too general.

Yes I thought it was a bit risky.
