Hello everyone

I wonder if you could help me. I'm considering buying a property in Sierra Golf. It is a very scary prospect buying a property in Spain as it seems that there are many obstacles to overcome.

Do any of you live/holiday home in Sierra Golf and would you recommend it? I was looking also at the Campasol estate but when I looked that up it was saying that the property was build illegally on flood beds etc so its all making me very wary.

I am after somewhere that's both quiet but also has things to do (eg local restaurants, near to the beach etc). I have two small doggies so wherever I buy needs to be very doggy friendly as they are my constant companions.

Any advice you can give me would be very much appreciated.

Kindest regards

Hola   I am Dave    I live on sierra golf     do I take it you are a single male

only I do not mix    (have anthrophobia) )  plus can not remember names or faces,   so keep myself to myself      yes it is very quiet

not much sound from the Corvera airport   sometimes the "air force" fly over      you will find three pubs   (1) golf club house   (2)Manolis   (3) blue palm     as for restaurants need to drive into Balsicas   for Spanglish bar   (very good)     then toward Roladan some very big curry houses

La Tercia is the medico and office for the padron       Dogs  yes many do keep dogs       Beach 20 min away straight down the  RM19 are many beaches      large shops  also around the same area      coffee  two nice bars in Balsicas

Flooding ??    we are high up    but the road in/out can get cut off   then only for a day

May I ask where are you thinking of    and with who    may offer some more advice (private box)       Dave

Dogs are not allowed on the beaches of the Mar Menor ...nearest doggie beaches are 20/30 minute drive away. Sierra golf is not within walking distance to the nearest villages if you want a good choice of bars and restaurants to sit outside with your dogs.

You need to maybe rent there before making any decisions and its probably too late to become resident under the current rules ..after January everything changes!

From today all bars in the area are able to open but with restricted numbers inside and only 4 to a table outside and 2 inside. Masks must be worn at all times except if you're actually on the beach and there is a 10pm curfew.
