Agree, Mazarron is not much better. Public funding seems to be the issue all over. People must help themselves. On demographics the point I was making was that the community spirit was diluted by changing of personnel, maybe with less civic spirit.
It's a proven fact that when we hit economic bad times, the poorest are affected first and most. We have just come out of a 2 year Covid pandemic which has affected the entire world and Spain is no exception. Since Spain is not exactly one of the richest countries in Europe it was affected more than other European countries. We rolled right into the next crisis with the war in Ukraine and high inflation. Who is affected first? The poorest people......and some of the poorest people of Spain live in the Mazarrón area. Camposol needs younger residents (people in their 40's and 50's) who are still able and willing to work. And Camposol residents need to understand that maintenance costs money and you cannot expect volunteers to do everything for free. We are used to different standards than the Spanish people as well so you can't expect the council to do as we please. So it's pretty simple: people have to pay up. The best example in our area that shows how things can be improved is the Mazarrón Country Club. Why? Paying a montly fee is one of the reasons. Also there is more diversity in ownership over there.
