Thanks, yes I will come and look and make up my own mind

May I make a suggestion. Try renting first before you buy, don't listen to gossip because some people can be very nasty. I have lived here on and off for 14 years. I don't listen to what other people say, infind the horses mouth and get the truth. If you do rent make sure you have a car if you rent on D as it's a long way to the shops, saying that a bus is hopefully going to be coming if things work out well with the planning.

Come and see, speak to shop owners. We are a friendly lot and will gladly help if you need help.

Good luck

This Has proven to be an eye opener with both negative, and positive reply's  I think we need to take a trip over there to see whether it is suitable or not.  I was not expecting so many come backs, So thank you all,  One last thing Where is this problem area, Is it A,B,C, or D ?

My understanding is that it is predominantly on C, but you can also see some damage on D

I am getting so many mixed messages about what it’s like to live on Camposol , especially regarding the inferior build quality of the properties and the fact that you can’t get the required certificates.

I know I need to come look for myself but I am not having many positive thou

My guess is the people who live there try to convince others it’s ok, we’ve just bought a property last year in San Pedro Del Pinatar and I remember the property people telling us it’s a no go area for property dealers who want to preserve their reputation, it certainly doesn’t have a good name and clearly there are issues however like I said there appears to be plenty of people very happy there. Go there and see for yourself and do your research is crucial.

We have just bought a property on camposol on sector B.. we had a structural survey done, no problem with the build quality at all, it was well worth the money for peace of mind, i would def recommend getting it done, costs around 550€

Most of the historic problems were on lower C and some on D sector.. and thats what they are historic!

Have a good look for yourself, explore the local area around Mazarron, the puerto de MAzarron, its beautiful, with lovely beaches, great road links..

Get a feel for the region in person, you cant judge an area from forums or estate agent pics, you will know which area suits you best when you visit .

And remember any comments on here are only personal opinions and experiences, which can be helpful, or not...lol... but you need to visit the area in person..

Why is it people try to put on others there ideals or preference I still believe it is important to rent and try places it could be one year or even two but you will either like it or not always find it strange that others live somewhere I would never live there but equally they would never want to live where we

do price is important but buying something you do not like to save money is not sensible for some reason people try to push where they live as perfect when yes for them but not nessassary for you so do your homework RENT for a period then make a decision

Totally agree i first started viewing areas (not ) so much properties in 2002, I started in Valencia and finished down in cost de la Luz making 8 trips finally deciding Murcia area was where I wanted to be, only then did I seriously start looking at properties, but this is only my opinion

Hi, we came over 3 times after seeing Camposol on British tv, and rented while we viewed over 20 villas on all sectors.

We spoke to everyone possible, and fell in love with sector B.

So we bought a Villa, and have been living here now for 3 weeks, and love it.

People have been friendly and helpful in everything, and as we learn, so we can help others.

Yes do your research, rent, talk to all, but I will be surprised if you do not fall in love also with Camposol.

The community help each other, and English is no problem, as you get older we all need people around us, and possible help if we run into problems, this is the place in our opinion, to be.
