Sorry do not understand.

All EU citizens are treat very well in UK.

In addition if you manage to reach UK shores, you are well cared for, and not returned to your country of birth.

If you manage to slip the net, you can be lost in the UK, work, and live, and NO ONE is turned away from the Nation Health Hospitals if you require help or treatment, even if you cannot supply a National Insurance number.

The last lady that had help, after being turned away from America, and of Nigerian nationality,  ran up a £800-000 National Health Hospitall bill, and not a penny was claimed back.

This includes all EU citizens, who can have free hospital treatment in the UK, no questions asked.

Agree, that's the situation at present. I was referring to the effects of today's legislation for future immigrants.

Sorry don't want to take up space with this diversion from  the issues affecting us in Spain, so thanks for contributing, over & out 😁

The fact of the matter is that one cannot live on €100 a week, unless you are living on the street.

I am sure that during the first few weeks of lockdown, my wife and I and people like us did spend quite a considerable amount of euros shopping for food as our choices of supermarkets were so curtailed allowing inflationary prices to go beyond control.

For real, one cannot live on, €100  a week, no matter how calculated one is, unless of course, bread and water are the solution.

I totally agree with you guys Ivor99, Frequent flyer, life is for living and that, life itself is not that cheap.

You can only live on whatever income you have. this varies in so many ways of course. you could probably have enough food on that but there are so many other expenses as everyone knows. You have to live and survive somewhere. But in Britain or Spain that figure wouldn't work. Why would you be in that position. you either have a job or a pension. You could even beg and make more.

FF never said you could live on 100 euro a week.

Just shows you how things get distorted !!!!

Roland, FF never said one can live on €100 per week. This is just to back up his statement.

Let's look at the daily expenditure over a month.  If you do shopping, complete shopping worth between €400 & €500 per month, the average cost is just over €100 per week.  Add on the incidental costs throughout the month, this is adding up. Plus your utilities, heating cost, petrol for car (if you don't drive or go anywhere far, but still need to save for coach trips).

Therefore, you need over €100 per week to be able to live comfortably here in Spain even in the UK as well. Let's not kid ourselves.

You can believe what you like FF.

And that 100 euro per week is for two people and includes absolutely everything.

We rarely eat out as we enjoy cooking and experimenting with the local produce.

If you believe this Bullshit ...then you will be like a lamb to the slaughter...this posting is just absolutely stupid.. cooking and experimenting with local produce you must be referring to Food that you get from the Camposol   skips

Fully agree, £100 a week, not possible to live on.

You could have enough food at €100 per week but the other costs would be extra.

Agree, and there is no point in struggling, retirement is for enjoying, not worrying about money if possible.
