Have a look at Hacienda Del Alamo golf resort. 20 minutes from the new RMU airport and an hour door to door to Alicante. Restaurants, bars and a small supermarket on site plus Sheraton hotel and golf club / restaurant. Good value good size property. 20 minutes drive from El Valle and La Torre and Cartagena and 30 minutes from Murcia city. 30 minutes from the fantastic beaches at Mazarron....

Have visited this last couple of days and impressed. Would be coming to live full time on my own. Are there plenty of things to join or activities. Can not speak Spanish is this a problem on the complex.

If it is xamposol then the lack of Spanish is ni problem at all

You don’t need to speak Spanish on Hacienda del Alamo. There are various groups and activities run by the sports bar - tennis, boules, etc. It’s a very friendly sociable resort.

Speaking Spanish is not necessary if you are going to live in a complex, but it is still recommendable in case you have an emergency (medical, policial or calling to emergency number112).
