Morning Jon, I've had a place on Riquelme for two years and try to go every month and I can honestly say that I've not had a problem with flies, just one or two, like you would get anywhere. I have a penthouse, maybe it's something to do with the height? I had a place in Egypt for years, which was also high up and I didn't have a problem there either. The penthouses that have just come on are tremendous value for money, I would definitely at least have a look if I was you. Count the flies while you're there....

Hi thanks for your reply

I'm inclined to agree with you

We stopped in a friends penthouse a couple of years ago albeit in Oct and it was fine but if you went in the grass near the pool it wa fairly bad

Also last year we had lunch outside the restaurant and I must admit the flies were unbearable

As you say the recent penthouses that have come up for sale seem fantastic value

We fly out this afternoon so yes I think we will take your advice and at least have a look at them over the coming week

Many thanks

Kind regards

Jon

Morning

We have a property on HR and I have never had a problem? At night I leave doors etc open and have not experienced lots of anything. We do burn candles and do have screens so all good.

We are in Spain next week so if you want any help, just ask.

Jane

Hi Jane

Thank you for your reply

Yes it sounds like many people have different opinions so I suppose it's really up to the individual to try for themselves

We have just missed out on 2 very cheap penthouses which we have been told are now going to auction and I'm afraid we are not going to go down that route

Thanks again we will keep our options open and see what the future brings

Kind regards

Jon

Hi Jane

Thank you for your reply

We are staying in Los Alcazares this week and having a look round there but although it's nice for the week I don't think we would like to live here, much too built up for us

We had planned to look at 2 penthouses up for sale on HR on Monday but were told at the last minute they were now housing to auction which we are disappointed about and certainly won't be getting strung along down that line

But hey thanks again any advice is much appreciated

Kind regards

Jon

that's a real shame like I said Hacienda is a wonderful place very quiet and lots of sun all year round .My grandchildren love it and love sucina the restaurants are good and people are very friendly.I believe in the saying what's meant to be will be happy hunting.
