Kevin 329, We don't have a smart meter but a reconnection charge ????? cost - that is an unknown entity. !!!!
I am considering reducing my power supply from 3.6 to 2.2 -this may reduce the standing charges -until we can get over to Spain once more.

Hi Deejon,
I think I misunderstood Iberdrolas email regarding two costs to reconnect the supply. I think there will only be a re-connection charge.
Please find a copy of the email from Iberdrola.
"If you want to cancel this contract, the meter will be removed, as immediately effect because your smart meter is already fitted, as a result the electricity will be disconnected, the same day. Later if the new owner would like to set up a new contract he will need to pay the connection fee, depending on the capacity he chooses"
Good luck and hope you/we all get back to Spain soon.
Kevin
