Any advice on paying the non resident property tax?
We've been quoted 130 euros by a solicitor for working this out and paying it. It seems a lot but we're tempted to ask them to sort it out as we haven't dealt with it before and not sure who we send the payment to.
Having googled it, it looks like you work out 2% of the cadastral value but is it then 24% of that as we're not in EU?
Any advice much appreciated.

If you are in the UK I suggest you use spanishtaxformsonline
They will work it out and for an extra £12 they will pay it for you
Hi, I use Angar Taxation Services, based in Torrevieja and all done by email. They charge €20 per owner per property and that includes paying it on your behalf, little cheaper than spanishtaxforms charge. Google them, you only need your last year's IBI invoice for them to calculate the amount.

You pay it by Dec 31st for previous year so plenty of time and you don't need to be in Spain as all done by email.

only resident taxes are dealt with early in the year but the non resident tax is payable by 31st December for year before. Also it will be pro rata from your date of purchase for first year. I,ve been paying it nearly 15yrs, usually in Nov/Dec.
