I think you're right, that's why they behave this way.

Just a small point, and in my opinion I believe both you and Roland are being a little unfair, I find the utility companies to be quite fair and from what I can remember on par with the uk, at least they do not have call centers based in India or other countries to answer their calls, and there is always their local office you can go to if there is a problem

Unfortunately they don't have a local office in the UK. They must be taking millions from just the Brits with property in Spain and the least I expect from them is to have the courtesy to reply to questions from customers who cannot by law enter their country to sort out any problems. Bearing in mind the effect Covid has had over the past 14 months, you would think they would do their bit in communicating with their customers!

You might get a response if you contact them via twitter

I don't do twitter! I've used their official email contact form on their website.....I would have thought they would reply to that rather than social media, but hey ho, it is what it is.

Have you tried telephoning them?

From my experience it's a waste of time (and money) calling the utilities, Banks or the Tax office from England! I guess if I stopped my DD they would contact me regarding the re-connection charge......all part of the joys of having property in Spain and being prevented from going personally to sort things out!

Yeah I know, I was only suggesting they would contact me if it suited them!

Sadly the major companies and many government departments have for years seemed to not understand about keeping certificates up to date. I have always checked as carefully as I can that the site really is the company you want to deal with, then overide the block, often caused by an over-zealous firewall.

Eduardo you are always very fair and reasonable in your posts. However, wouldn't a call center in India be preferable to no response at all? I find those call centers to be very helpful and polite and usually when I have to use them my problem is solved quickly and efficiently. It is very frustrating for this gentleman to find his hands tied by bring unable to make contact with Aqualia, particularly when the fault would appear to be theirs if they haven't renewed their licence.
