Hi all.

I am considering changing to Sabadell as I am moving and it will be my local bank.  Does anyone have any thoughts, good and bad to share that may affect my decision. I suppose it is also about the staff, how helpful . Also their charges.

Thank you so much in advance.

Please search Sabadel  in Banking & finances here on this forum…. (horror)

I would recommend to use Cajamar Wefferent account – also lots of advise there

Or don't bother with a Spanish bank account.

Open a Wise.com euro account & use that.

Well, my hubby and I have been with Sabadell for years and we're very happy with the service that they offer, totally free of charge. Between us, we have 4 accounts with them, plus credit and debit cards and we've never paid a cent in charges. We also have our home and contents insurance through Sabadell, which worked out cheaper than all the other offers that we got when we were looking around. It's handy to have the branch up the road with access to the cash-points and personal contact with staff members when necessary.

Thank you Mags for your experience with Sabadell. I wonder why other people mention charges.  I think I will look into it and give them a visit and see first hand but great to get everyone's comments.

Mags44 obviously does lots of business with Sabadell bank.

Credit cards house and contents insurance etc.

That's why they have no charges.

However going by lots of posts on here insurance products from any of the banks are notoriously bad value when it comes to paying out for claims.

Who's Naga? If you are referring to me, then I can tell you that I don't do a lot of business with Sabadell at all. Don't most normal people have a bank account, a credit card, a debit card, and have house insurance? I would be grateful if you could direct me to the "lots of posts on here insurance products from any of the banks are notoriously bad value when it comes to paying out for claims", though. On the rare occasion that I have had to make a claim on my house insurance, the bank sent a "perito" round to check the evidence almost immediately and the bank paid off within a couple of weeks. Maybe I just trust people to do the right thing and they repay me by doing just that!
