We bought most of ours from IKEA which is only about 25 minutes away, they also deliver and you can buy online, for the white goods Carrefour and Leroy Merlin are probably the best value. Condado is a great place I'm sure you will love it.

Brilliant! Thanks Steve.

I hope with the covid vaccines in full flow we should start to hear about travel restrictions being lifted toward April, fingers crossed!

Thanks for all your help really appreciate it.

Don't hold your breath for travel restrictions being lifted towards April.

More likely August.

Hi, if you can afford it, definitely have them fitted, you need to be comfortable, get a good quote, you don’t need top price units, as you say it’s a holiday home, the lounge you will use the most. In the hotter days we put the bedroom aircon on about half an hour before we go to bed, if like us you watch a bit of tv in bedroom, it’s great. If it’s really hot we leave it on for a couple of hours while we sleep, then turn it off when you feel cooler.
As you say it’s a holiday home so the guarantee is not so important because usage is low, we are still on 3.45 kw potencia so as long as you are a bit careful what electricity you have on, you won’t get too many trips (make sure you know where the electricity trip is located). Final point make sure you get aircon units with the inverter, makes them cheap to run, also we have used ours for heating for an hour or so if we don’t want the log burner on, supposed to be one of the cheapest forms of heating.

We have been here full time over a year now, so have been through all the seasons, enjoy your time here.

Hi all,

We are purchasing a 2 bed apartment which has no air con, can anyone who has had this installed in a similar property advise how much this costs and if you have any recommended installers? Would really appreciate the advice as my estate agent is going to get me a price but I will have no idea whe...

Would really appreciate your feedback.

thank you in advance.

Hi Lorraine. Congratulations and welcome to Condado. We had ours serviced and one new one fitted by Tom at Condado Services. Much cheaper than quoted on here. You can contact him directly, or via Denise Devlin at Condado Invest in Al Kazar. It's absolutely lovely on Condado. Our little piece of paradise.
