This is rubbish. We found out our community fees exactly before we bought. Fees can change year on year as you well know. If it wasn’t for the volunteers there would be no resort or community at all. They do a sterling job

Linda's is not an isolated experience sadly, many, many feel the same. As indeed I do

Rubbish. These are vindictive comments which are untrue or as a result of a personal experience. I am not living in a ‘bubble’ as you make out. This is quite rude. The resort is superb and we are lucky to have an apartment there. We are entirely happy. I have been there 7 years and we haven...

You may well be happy but many many of us were not.  These are not vindictive remarks but they are a real experience, evidently experienced by the many who shared them on the the various HR Facebook groups (although heavily moderated).

Facebook is not the main media for communicating but there are serial complainers who look for problems and bombard social media with direct insults to fellow residents and those on the committee. They are very selfish and inconsiderate and offer no solutions to any problems that they may perceive. They clearly do not understand how the resort works. I think if you had issues you should have gone through the correct channels. I have and got things resolved personally. It is the same minority who post on Facebook. I know who they are. The vast majority are very happy with the resort and how it is run. With regard to the moderation comment, every group is moderated so they are no different.

I flatly disagree, it's just my opinion and my finding. The resort is run by a small group of cronies for their own interests abetted by a peripheral group of 'suck ups' (and estate agents) who vocally insist on social media that everything on the resort is wonderful and shipshape possibly in a vain attempt to keep new blood coming in to prop up the apartment prices. The fact is that the price for an apartment on HR has steadily declined for many years now with penthouses that fetched over 120k Five years ago, now going for well under 100k not a huge amount to lose. The ticking time bomb is the cost of property taxes and the community fees which may soon be higher than the average rental cost. Caveat emptor

That’s your opinion but as a result of the pandemic all property prices have fallen wherever. This is a good resort whatever you say. Your comments are quite insulting to the many people who work hard to keep the resort going. Did you ever volunteer by any chance if you thought you could do better?

Good evening

We are shortly downsizing from Costa del Sol and moving to HR in July.

Can anyone just confirm the current situation on the resort regarding Supermarket and other facilities regarding Covid restrictions.

Are there any restaurants , bars, gyms etc open as yet.

Cheers

Chris

At the moment we are coming out of covid so the golf course is shut and the restaurant. The shop is open and the gym is an open air outside gym. We are expecting the course to reopen in September and the restaurants to open in a few weeks

Many thanks , look forward to joining the community despite the flies, but then they aren-t so hot here this week in Vinuela.

Yes they have. They have increased maintenance this last few weeks with the intention of reopening in September.
