We also visited in the summer to view some properties and found it very nice although we haven't bought yet. A bit random but have you had a problem with flies at all ?

On Hacienda Riquelme they spray against flies during the summer months.

Last spray in this Friday.

They were bad in July, but not bad as I speak.

You get flies in hot countries, and have had far worse in Almeria!

Yes we went there in July and had a meal at the resturaunt I must admit they were pretty bad and did put us off a bit.

May I ask which agent you purchased your property with and how you found them ?
